A SOUTH AFRICAN SOUL

We often blame Politicians for all of our social problems,I think all South Africans needs to look in the mirror and see who the problem is. We vote to put these people in power and we complain , did we forget that we have the power to remove them from office, “If you are bored and disgusted by politics and don't bother to vote, you are   in effect voting for the entrenched Establishments of the three major parties, who please rest assured are not dumb, and who are keenly aware that it is in their interests to keep you disgusted and bored and cynical and to give you every possible reason to stay at home doing one-hitters and watching SABC ,DSTV,ETV on primary day. By all means stay home if you want, but don't bullshit yourself that you're not voting. In reality,THERES NO SUCH THING AS ""NOT"" VOTING: you either vote by voting, or you vote by staying home and tactically doubling the value of some Die hard's vote. “People are always shouting they want to create a better future. It's not true. The future is an apathetic void of no interest to anyone. The past is full of life, eager to irritate us, provoke and insult us, tempt us to destroy or repaint it. The only reason people want to be masters of the future is to change the past.I hear the opposition Parties blaming ANC for all our problems, all these problems have background , Apartheid is the mother off all evil in our South African societies and Politics, African people can no longer trust Caucasians/Europeans, they have suffered dearly in the hands of our colonizers and of our oppressors.As much as we agree with DA sometimes, the fear of the past gets the best of us, we have seen what the white minority has done to us, Africans have emotional scars that were buried but never healed, we had to bury those scars because we loved our country so dearly.i must ask if time heals emotional wounds or does it just bury them, We as South Africans need to get to the core of things, because what we did in 1994 was merely papering over the cracks on the social walls. we need to reap that wall paper , open those cracks , scrape them till they bleed, and start filling them up so they can heal naturally. 
I will tell you what I will do and what I will not do. I will not serve that in which I no longer believe, whether it calls itself my leader, my home, my Motherland, or my Church: and I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defense the only arms I allow myself to use silence, exile, and cunning.“We in South Africa do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from South African parents and South African families, South African homes, South African schools, South African churches, South African businesses and South African universities, and they are elected by South African citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant South Africans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the General Public. Yeah, the public sucks,I am a die hard  card carrying member of the ANC and i stand firmly behind my leaders,but that doesnt mean i agree with them on the Party issues, i hate the fact that quality leadership lacks in our ranks, i hate the fact that we dont have smart policy makers, our policies are challengable in courts, because someone didnt research and understand our constitution, i hate the fact that My ANC is associated with stupidity, I hate the fact that MY ANC is forever in corruption scandals, I hate the fact that we use names like Tambo,Mandela,Sisulu,Kotane,Luthuli,Xuma,Nzo in vain.these are the true heroes of our struggle, they never joined the struggle to be rich, but we hear prominent leaders saying ""I DID NOT JOIN THE STRUGGLE TO BE POOR"" .thats the reason why we have such poor leadership skilled people.
The new ANC has set out to re-write history by taking all the years that OR Tambo, RN Mandela,TM Mbeki lead the ANC and give it to KZN,this ANC has forgotten our struggles in their doings they lose good cadres,people are getting quiet everyday, A good leader knows , when people start to be quiet that simply means they are no longer following you, if u keep on moving forward without looking back , by the time you look back there wont be anyone behind you. A good leader listens and act according to the promises he made and more.

LETS ALL PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS SO THAT THEY KNOW NKANDLA IS NOT OUR CAPITAL BUT A VILLAGE
